Senior Care

It is important to have senior pets examined regularly, ideally every 6 months. Many disease processes can be detected early via physical examination by a veterinarian often accompanied by blood tests and/or other diagnostics. The earlier a disease is detected, the better job we can do in slowing its progression. Old age is not a disease, but sometimes the symptoms of diseases can be misinterpreted as old age. Often the disease is treatable or there are things that can be done to lessen the symptoms and make your pet more comfortable while they age gracefully. We encourage you to bring your pet in more regularly than the annual examination if you have any worries about their health.
