Dr. Corlene graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2002, after which she worked in England for the next 4 years, travelling through Europe in her free time, before moving back home again to South Africa. She worked in mixed and small animal practice for the next 11 years, before her family decided to relocate to Canada in 2018.
They started their new life in Vermilion, Alberta, where she worked in a mixed animal practice, while completing her Canadian board exams. The big city lights called, and in 2021 they moved to Calgary, where Corlene had the good fortune of starting at Little Creek, where the friendly staff and the wonderful clients have made her feel right at home. She enjoys all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine, and in her free time she likes travelling, reading, hiking and spending time with her family and their two rescued pets, Pixie, a small mixed breed pomeranian, and Knoffel, the cat.
